Leslie and Richard’s Elegant Wedding at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew
Leslie and Richard wed at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew, Richmond, Surrey. Their ceremony took place in the Nash Conservatory and the reception was in The Orangery.
This is the first time I have featured a wedding, photographed by London based reportage wedding photographer Clair Estelle, and I hope it is the first of many! I love how Clair describes herself as ‘a great story teller’ as I believe this is imperative when you are a wedding photographer. As well as capturing the order of the day i.e. from getting ready through to the ceremony, reception, and late night dancing, a skilled wedding photographer such as Clair ensures that she captures the little spontaneous moments that are so important.
Leslie and Richard got married on the 20th July 2013 and planned the wedding from Dubai in only six months! I love that whilst they were waiting for their official photographs of their day, they made the most of social media by using Instagram with the hastag #richardandleslieswedding to capture some great shots.
I am sure you will agree with me that their wedding is one stylish affair…
Leslie chose very pretty dresses in beige for her adult bridesmaids and a simple cream dress for her flower girl.
Leslie found her Pronovias gown at the boutique, Teokath of London Richard’s suit was from Neal & Palmer and his waistcoat and tie were from Favourbrook.

Kat of florist Roseberg wired individual heads of peonies, roses, and hydrangeas onto branches of a tree to create a beautiful display at the ceremony.
I love the rustic feel of these plant pots. And also love the concept of Leslie and Richard’s Elegant Wedding at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew.
The pretty flowers were created by Kat from Roseberg. Leslie is a big fan of pinterest and collated all her ideas before going to Kat for advice. ‘No job was too big for her,’ says Leslie.
Leslie and Richard created personalised cocktails.
Cakes by Robin made the couple’s very pretty wedding cake.
The children and adult guests enjoyed tins of jelly beans. I hope you like these highlights from Leslie and Richard’s Elegant Wedding at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew
Leanne and Nicholas exchanging vows at Yarlington House. ‘I wanted the wedding to feel lush and green and so we chose Yarlington House for its wild gardens and little nooks,’ says Leanne. ‘Its a bit like a secret garden.’
Leanne and Nicholas got married on the 24th August 2013 at the picturesque setting of Yarlington House in Somerset. The couple’s wedding was photographed by John Day Photography and their wedding was planned to perfection by luxury wedding planner and stylist Jessie Thomson. ‘I came across Jessie through word of mouth,’ says Leanne. ‘I felt safe in her hands and knew that she wouldn’t let me down. I used a bespoke service with Jessie to help guide me through the wedding planning process, with additional support in the final weeks and having her on site to make sure that everything we planned happened exactly as it should do on the day – from final decor to time management and overseeing all of the suppliers.’
I am sure you will agree with me that Leanne and Nicholas’s wedding was a beautiful, and stylish affair.
How beautiful does Leanne look in her Suzanne Neville dress, which she found at The Mews Clifton? ‘I felt like a princess in it. It was a bit of a ‘Cinderella going to the ball dress,’ which I never thought I would go for because I don’t see myself as particularly girly. However, there is clearly a very girly girl inside bursting to get out! It had a boat neck that scooped across the collar bone. This was my favorite feature of the dress and played to my affections for old fashioned romanticism and black and white films.’ Leanne’s make up was done by Nina Norman.
I love the back of Leanne’s dress, so chic and her elegant updo. Leanne’s hair was done by Jody Alloway.
Leanne had four bridesmaids, who all had different styles of dresses, but in the same fabric and coral color.
Leanne and Nicholas’s florist was Edward Allen, whom Leanne also considers a friend. ‘He is amazing and his flowers are spectacular,’ says Leanne. ‘I have known Edward for a long time as he does the flowers in all the shops in Clifton, Bristol.
I love the rustic feel of Leanne and Nicholas’s wedding reception.
‘I like lots of green, and so Edward’s idea was to use things like artichokes and other edible goodies in the flower displays,’ explains Leanne.
Nicholas’s Auntie Jean made their wedding cake. It had three tiers, chocolate, lemon, and a fruit cake base. If you look closely, you can see that Leanne added a belt to her dress for the evening. ‘Gail at The Mews in Clifton loaned me a beautifully encrusted belt to wear in the evening, which took my dress from day to night time glamour. Gail and all the girls at the boutique were fantastic from start to finish,’ says Leanne. I think they altered my dress five times in the end because I kept getting thinner and thinner!
Leanne and Nicholas sharing a kiss on the dance floor.
‘Marrying Nick was the most special thing I have ever done, ‘ says Leanne. ‘We have known each other for so long and I love him unconditionally, so it was amazing to finally feel the security of the marriage vows. Nick’s speech touches me very much; he recalled some of the special times we have shared together that are so precious to us. He said he hopes that our future is every bit as exciting as our past that we have shared together. As I write this, I am due to have a baby in a week and we have just finished a house renovation by the skin of our teeth in time for the baby; so, we have definitely had an exciting ten months and long may it continue.’
Today we are going to Gemma And Mark’s Magical Wedding In Santorini. This was a very amazing wedding at an amazingly beautiful location have seen to date.
Gemma and Mark could not have chosen a more beautiful setting than Santorini for their wedding.
I don’t think you could dream of a more picturesque setting than the one Gemma and Mark chose for their wedding. The couple had been to the island of Santorini for a holiday two years in a row, and it was when they got home from their second time there that Mark proposed. ‘Immediately we knew that Santorini had to be our wedding location,’ explains Gemma. ‘Mark actually did a lot of the wedding researching online, which is how it came across our photographer Anna Roussos.
The couple got married at Dana Villas and had their reception at Pyrgos restaurant. Gemma and Mark’s big day was planned by Julia at Santorini Glam Weddings. ‘Julia and I have very similar taste, so she loved the ideas we had and advised us every step of the way,’ says Gemma. ‘After hundreds of planning emails and Skype calls, our day soon arrived. Two days before the wedding we also celebrated Marks 30th birthday. Having our family and friends with us was amazing as I had planned a surprise meal with everyone. The day its self couldn’t have gone any better, we had lots of laughter, and a few tears, but our wedding was the most magical and special day that we will be forever grateful for.’
I am sure you will agree with me that Gemma and Mark’s wedding is inspiring for all of you stylish & fashionable brideswho are planning a destination wedding.

Inbal Dror creates the most beautiful wedding dresses for glamorous brides.
I don’t know about you, but I often think today’s Hollywood stars don’t do glamour nearly as well as the iconic stars from the past such as Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, and Rita Hayworth. Perhaps its because fashions have changed or they are influenced too much by their stylists? Or is it simply because in today’s hectic world, the majority of us don’t have the time or inclination to do glamour like women from yesteryear.
For those of you who abhor the word ‘casual’ and everything it stands for, then I insist you go for full on glamour when it comes to your wedding day. Think a ‘black tie’ dress code, plenty of sequins and shimmer, and outfits that have the ‘wow’ factor. Still need help conjuring up how to achieve a ‘glamorous wedding?’ Then be inspired by these ideas I have put together…

As anyone who works in the fashion industry will tell you, an outfit is not complete without the right accessories! The same rule should apply to what you wear in your hair to complement your wedding gown.
You may think your job is done if you have found your dream bridal dress, but you would be mistaken. Have you thought about how you are going to wear your hair yet? And if you have decided on your hairstyle, what about the right headpiece or veil?
I would urge you not to leave finding your hair accessory/headpiece or veil until the last moment. If you are having a hairdresser do your hair on your big day, you will want him or her to do a hair trial a few months beforehand and see whether your headpiece works with the hairstyle you want.
When it comes to bridal hair accessories, I would advise you to think very carefully. Don’t go for something that will overpower your dress. On the contrary, you don’t want to go for anything too small that won’t enhance your look. I believe that you should get a similar feeling when you try on the perfect hair accessory to when you found your dream dress. You will know when it is right for you. It will not only suit the shape of your face, but the look/style of your wedding. Here is my pick of the most beautiful hair accessories to choose from…
