A Sophisticated Wedding With A Black And White Colour Scheme
The couple dated for around eight months before Andrew proposed over lunch on the top floor of a restaurant after Kathryn had been away for a two week trip with her mum and brothers. ‘After we finished eating, we went out onto the viewing platform and admired the beautiful view of the city,’ explains Kathryn. ‘He pulled me away from the other tourists and got down on one knee and told me I was the love of his life and asked me to marry him. Luckily, a couple from New Zealand realised what was happening and snapped a few photos of us. We will be forever grateful that they captured this special moment for us.’
Kathyrn chose a black and white colour scheme for their wedding with a slight pop of red. As Kathryn is originally from Indiana, USA, and Andrew is from the UK, they adopted traditions from both countries. The couple were assigned a wedding planner, Emma, from Botleys Mansion. ‘We were so grateful to have such a detail oriented, organised and friendly person to help us plan our special day,’ says Kathryn.
Kathryn said that aside from the ceremony, the highlight of her wedding was having a ‘first look’ at one another before they got married. ‘It allowed us to calm our nerves and have a few photographs together before the ceremony began,’ explains Kathryn. I am sure you will take many ideas away from Kathryn and Andrew’s beautiful and sophisticated wedding. The couple’s day was photographed by Faye Cornhill.
